Quick dissolving melts that may assist in relieving snuffles in babies and children.
As absorption of homoeopathic medicines occurs mainly through the mucous membrane of the mouth, it is desirable to hold the medicine in the mouth for a short period and for the mouth to be free of any other tastes (toothpaste, peppermint, etc.) when taking the medicine.
The melts should be dissolved in the mouth, ideally under the tongue.
For babies, the melts should be dissolved in a little water or milk (one teaspoon) and given as a liquid to avoid any risk of the baby choking.
The tablets should be sucked or dissolved in the mouth.

Eupatorium perfoliatum helps to improve function of bronchial mucus membranes.
Gelsemium sempervirens has a decongestant action and helps to relieve post nasal drip and excessive respiratory mucus.
Hydrastis canadensis acts on the mucous membranes of the airways to treat snuffles in children, sinus congestion and thick, sticky, stringy discharges with loss of smell.
Pulsatilla vulgaris has a wide range of action on the mucous membranes and relieves thick, bland, profuse, yellow discharges from the respiratory tract.
Sanguinarium nitrica is indicated for acute and chronic mucus production with blocked nose, sore throat and cough.
Thuja occidentalis treats thick, green nasal discharges especially if symptoms come on after vaccination.
